Temporary traffic detours on Southwest 248 Street to allow for sewer line connections
Construction to accommodate the connection of two sewer lines will require the temporary closing of traffic on Southwest 248th Street between Southwest 112 Avenue and 107 Avenue. Access to Southwest 107 Avenue will be detoured to Southwest 252 Street and Southwest 112 Avenue. Drivers may want to avoid the area until the project is completed. The project begins Monday and concludes December 27th.
Traffic lanes on Southwest 248 Street north of the canal will remain open.
This project is part of the department's Consent Decree, a program that provide necessary upgrades to the water and sewer infrastructure to continue providing high quality services, protecting public health, and the environment.
It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about Department services and programs, visit the department's website.
