Calling all youth: Register today for human trafficking summit

MIAMI (January 17, 2018)

Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Service Department (CAHSD) invites the public to attend the 4th Annual Human Trafficking Summit on Saturday, January 20, 2018. To commemorate Human Trafficking Awareness Month, this event is designed to help young men and women become more aware about this crime and provide them with the tools needed to take action to prevent human trafficking in our community. Survivor testimony, an overview of human trafficking in Miami-Dade County and the resources available to help victims will highlight the summit. All participants will receive a "Human Trafficking Youth Prevention Leader" Certificate. Contributing agencies include the Governor’s Office of Adoption and Child Protection, the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, Miami-Dade Schools Police, Miami-Dade County Public Schools and Share Your Heart. Those interested in attending can register online
