Miami-Dade Parks' Meet Me at the Park initiative and Marlins Jr. RBI League present Play Ball Days! Program kicks-off at West Perrine Park and FREE baseball registration is open to boys and girls 12 and under
Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department’s Meet Me at the Park initiative, which encourages residents to get out to their neighborhood park to meet one another, connect to park staff, and to enjoy free activities, has partnered with the Marlins Jr. RBI League to present Play Ball Days at West Perrine Park. Play Ball Days are designed to inspire both boys and girls, ages 12 and under, to get onto the baseball field and experience the game.
Play Ball Days kicks-off on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at West Perrine Park, 10301 SW 170 Terrace, Miami FL from 11 am – 2 pm. While there, Miami-Dade Park’s invites families and children of all ages to join the Pitch, Hit & Run Competition. There will be FREE food, fun and fitness on the field for a family day at the park. Registration for the Marlins Jr. RBI baseball program will take place. The baseball program is also seeking volunteer coaches.
An additional Play Ball Day will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 11 am – 2 pm.
“We are excited to offer to this very special program,” Parks Director Maria I. Nardi shared. “It’s a perfect fit to the department’s Youth Sports Program which we recently reintroduced as a way to offer children a chance to learn a new sport, practice good sportsmanship and build teamwork and character.”
