Miami-Dade County to host South Corridor Rapid Transit Project Workshops
The Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) is hosting three alternatives public workshops for the South Corridor Rapid Transit Project. The South Corridor is one of the six Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) Plan corridors being evaluated to assess and meet the travel and mobility needs of the corridor.
The South Corridor runs along the South Dade TransitWay, from SW 344 Street on the south to the Dadeland South Metrorail station on the north.
The interactive workshops will follow an open-house format to allow participants to arrive at any time between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. to review and give input on the transit mode alternatives and station concepts. No formal presentation will be given.
It will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes to visit seven information booths at the workshop. County representatives will be available to informally discuss the project and answer questions. The same information will be shared at each of the three workshops.
The alternatives workshops will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the following days and locations:
- Tuesday, May 22 - Palmetto Golf Course Community, Community Room - 9300 SW 152 St., Miami, FL 33157
