Deering Estate offers opportunity to photograph lunar eclipse and sunrise

The Deering Estate offers an exciting opportunity where you and your photography friends can take photos of the upcoming total lunar eclipse on Jan. 20 or sunrise photos on Jan. 26.

Total Lunar Eclipse Photography
Sunday, Jan. 20, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Cost: $30; Register online or call 305-235-1668 ext. 233.

Watch and photograph the total lunar eclipse, a rare and beautiful phenomenon, from the Deering Estate.
 

Sunrise Photography
Saturday, Jan. 26, 6:30 to 8:30 a.m.
Cost: $20; Register online or call 305-235-1668 ext. 233.

Watch and photograph a beautiful sunrise over the horizon! The price of the sunrise photography also includes admission to the Deering Estate during regular hours (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) on the same day.

Please note that you must register and pay in advance. There will not be an opportunity to pay on the day of the event. Limited space is available. For more information, and additional sunrise photography dates, please visit the Deering Estate website.

The Deering Estate preserves the 1920s era Miami estate of Charles Deering, Chicago industrialist, early preservationist, environmentalist, art collector, philanthropist and first chairman of the International Harvester Company.
