New development next to the Douglas Road Metrorail station will offer residents an urban, car-optional lifestyle

MIAMI ( April 12, 2019 )

Construction will soon begin on a new development that will give its residents an option to ditch their cars and use transit for their mobility needs.

On Monday, April 15, 2019, Miami-Dade County officials will once again join the Adler Group and 13th Floor Investments in celebrating the groundbreaking of a second transit-oriented development project, Link at Douglas.

This project will be built in phases over the next five years and will have 1,500 residential units, including a workforce housing component. There will be 25,000 square-feet of retail space, a 250,000 square-foot office building and a public plaza that will connect with The Underline which is transforming the land below Miami's Metrorail into a 10-mile linear park, urban trail and living art destination.

As part of the partnership with the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW), the Adler Group and 13th Floor Investments will contribute more than $17 million in improvements to the Douglas Road Metrorail station and approximately $1 million toward the development of The Underline.
