Celebrate National CleanUp Day with Baynanza on Saturday, Sept. 21

MIAMI ( September 19, 2019 )

Miami-Dade County is keeping the Baynanza Biscayne Bay celebration alive by participating in National CleanUp Day, on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 9 a.m. to noon at East Greynolds Park, 16700 Biscayne Blvd., North Miami Beach.

Volunteers from coast to coast will join forces to clean up parks, trails, beaches, mountains and open spaces.  National CleanUp Day unites volunteers in order to make a tangible impact on waste in the environment.

In Miami-Dade, volunteers will pick up litter along the Oleta River bank at an Environmentally Endangered Lands (EEL) program preserve, participate in a free tour of mangrove restoration areas led by a county ecologist and learn more about programs that help restore Biscayne Bay.

The Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources, Division of Environmental Resources Management, organizes this event with support from other agencies.

More information is available at the Baynanza website.
