Grants available for Census outreach and education
Deadline to apply is December 2
Miami-Dade County will provide grants to community-based organizations to conduct outreach and education to provide information about the 2020 Census to communities within Miami-Dade County that have been identified as likely be undercounted in the 2020 Census. The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. Monday, December 2.
The County is currently engaged in a widespread effort to educate residents about the importance of participating in the 2020 Census. An accurate count helps ensure the County receives its fair share of federal funding and proper representation in Congress.
Through these grants, the County aims to provide organizations with financial support to further ensure that traditionally hard-to-count groups receive important and relevant Census information.
Community-based organizations are encouraged to apply for these grants. A planned total of $300,000 will be awarded; the maximum award amount for any organization is $25,000.
Full details and instructions are available at the outreach grants web page.
