Miami-Dade Transit partners with Tri-Rail to offer a mobile regional pass in time for Super Bowl LIV

MIAMI ( January 24, 2020 )

Teams competing in Super Bowl LIV won’t be the only ones scoring next weekend. Visitors and residents attending Super Bowl celebrations in Miami-Dade County can score big with a new promotional offer from Miami-Dade Transit and Tri-Rail.

Get around South Florida with a regional transit mobile pass, available on the GO Miami-Dade app for a limited time.

Starting this week, the Miami-Dade Transit and Tri-Rail 1-Day Regional Pass is available for purchase until Sunday, Feb. 2. The regional pass offers unlimited rides on both systems, allowing transit riders to travel from as far north as West Palm Beach to as far south as the Upper Keys – using only one pass.

“Our County is proud to be hosting Super Bowl LIV, the game deciding the champions for the NFL’s 100th season. We know our visitors and residents will be celebrating before, during, and after the big game,” said Alice N. Bravo, P.E., director of the Miami-Dade Department of Transportation and Public Works. “Our goal is to enable a seamless public transportation experience, which is why our promotional regional pass with Tri-Rail will be an added benefit during this time. We want to make sure people can easily transfer from one system to another without having to worry about buying different passes.”

Riders can purchase a 1-Day Regional Pass (weekend) for $10.65, and/or a 1-Day Regional Pass (weekday) for $23.15.

Passes are activated at the time of purchase and expire at 2 a.m. the following morning. For this reason, it is recommended that the 1-Day Regional Pass be purchased on the day it will be used.

The pass is available for purchase between now and Feb. 2 via the GO Miami-Dade Transit app. Download the app for free from the App Store or Google Play.
