Roadway Construction Report for the week of March 30 – April 5, 2020
The following is a list of roadway construction/closure activities for the week of March 30 – April 5, 2020.
SW 328 St. from US 1 to SW 167 Ave. – Project No. 20150169 (Miami-Dade Commission districts 8 & 9) : Work includes widening the existing roadway from two (2) to four (4) lanes with a raised median, sidewalks, curb and gutter, bicycles facilities, continuous storm drainage system, signalization, pavement markings and signage and decorative lightning. Construction is anticipated to be completed by October 2020. Mainline Closure: Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route or follow the posted maintenance of traffic (MOT) signs or detour route.
William Powell Bridge Expansion Joint and Fender System Rehabilitation-Project No. 20180090 (Miami-Dade Commission district 7): Work includes but is not limited to replacement of the William Powell expansion joints, restored concrete spall areas, crack injection in bridge concrete elements, replacement of navigation bridge fender system and navigations lights. Construction is anticipated to be completed by May 2020. Detour: Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route or follow the posted maintenance of traffic (MOT) signs or detour route.
SW 211 St. from Florida Turnpike Exp. to US-1 – Project No. 20180253 WO #2 (Miami-Dade Commission districts 8 & 9): The scope of work includes the following: milling and resurfacing, construction of ADA Ramps and Connectors, adjustment of valve boxes and manholes, pavement markings and signage. Construction is anticipated to be completed by April 2020. Detour: Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route or follow the posted maintenance of traffic (MOT) signs or detour route.
North Miami Ave. from NW 22 St. to NW 28 St. – Project No. 20180246 (Miami-Dade Commission district 3): Work includes, but is not limited to, the construction and installation of drainage structures, French drains, miscellaneous drainage improvements, grading, sodding, and roadway restoration including asphalt and restriping, including construction of concrete curb and gutters, and sidewalks where needed, in accordance with the construction plans and specifications. Construction is anticipated to be completed by June 2020. Mainline Closure: Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route or follow the posted maintenance of traffic (MOT) signs or detour route.
NW 107 Ave. and NW 41 St. (Intersection Improvements) Project No. 20170025 WO # 7 (Miami-Dade Commission district 12): The improvement at the location includes trees removal; clearing and grubbing; removal of curb and gutter; drainage installation; construction of new curb and gutter and sidewalks; milling and resurfacing; signage and pavement markings installation, as well as any ancillary items associated with the project scope of work. Construction is anticipated to be completed by April 2020.
Pine Tree Dr. from 23 St. to 41 St. (Phase 1) - Project No. 20180176 WO # 1 (Miami-Dade Commission district 4): The scope of work includes the following: milling and resurfacing, construction of ADA Ramps and Connectors, adjustment of valve boxes and manholes, pavement markings and signage. SW 137 Ave. from HEFT to US-1 – Project No. 20180064 (Miami-Dade Commission district 8): Work consists of widening the existing roadway from two (2) to four (4) lanes with a raised median and centered left turn lane, sidewalks, curb and gutter, bicycle facilities, continuous storm drainage system, signalization, pavement markings and signing, and street lighting Construction is anticipated to be completed by June 2021. Mainline Closure: Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route or follow the posted maintenance of traffic (MOT) signs or detour route.
SW 137 Ave. from US-1 to SW 200 St. – Project No. 20180089 (Miami-Dade Commission district 8): Work consists of a new two lane roadway which will include, but is not limited to: sidewalks (for a portion of the project), curb and gutters, a continuous storm drainage system, signalization, pavement markings and signage, standard roadway lighting system, bicycle facilities, landscaping, a bridge crossing over Canal C-102, a culvert crossing at Canal C-102N, and the filling of the borrow pit at SW 240 Street within the right-of-way limits. Construction is anticipated to be completed by October 2022. Project also includes signage, pavement markings installation and sodding, as well as any ancillary items associated with the project scope of work. Construction is anticipated to be completed by April 2020.
SW 26 St. from SW 62 Ave. to SW 63 Ave. (Intersection Improvements) - Project No. 20180097 WO # 7 (Miami-Dade Commission district 6): The improvement at the location includes construction of one Traffic Calming Device (Speed Table) to improve the traffic safety along SW 26th Street. project also includes milling, resurfacing, signage, pavement markings installation and sodding, as well as any ancillary items associated with the project scope of work. Construction is anticipated to be completed by April 2020.

N Miami Ave. and NW 111 St. (Intersection Improvements) - Project No. 20180096 WO#4 (Miami-Dade Commission District 3): The improvement includes construction of Traffic Calming Device (Traffic Circle) at this location to improve the traffic flow and safety at the mentioned intersection. The project also includes drainage installation, milling and resurfacing, signage, pavement markings installation and sodding, as well as any ancillary items associated with the project scope of work. Construction is anticipated to be completed by April 2020.

SW 127 Ave. from theoretical SW 146 Terr. south to the C1N Canal- Project No. 20190028 (Miami-Dade County Commission District 9): This project was initiated due to documented flooding complaints within the boundaries described above. The scope of work consists of, but is not limited to, the construction of a storm drainage system consisting of exfiltration trenches and solid pipe along with drainage inlets and storm manholes, as well as miscellaneous roadway restoration. Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2020 and is anticipated to be completed in February 2020.
NW 71 St. between NW 22 Ave. and NW 19 Ave. (Intersection Improvements) Project No. 20170025 WO # 12 (Miami-Dade Commission district 3): The improvement includes construction of Traffic Calming Device (Two Speed Tables) at this location to improve the traffic flow and safety at the mentioned location; also includes; milling and resurfacing; signage; pavement markings installation and sodding, as well as any ancillary items associated with the project scope of work. Construction is anticipated to be completed by April 2020.
