Small Claims Court process explained at free virtual presentation on October 1
Learn about the Small Claims Court, including a question and answer session.
The Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources (RER), Office of Consumer Protection, will host a free virtual Small Claims Court presentation at noon, Thursday, October 1, 2020.
The presentation will provide participants with guidance on the procedures for filing a claim in the County's Small Claims Court, including a Q&A session and resources for preparing for trial.
Small Claims Court is used by individuals who want to address disputes involving $8,000 or less without the costly burden of having to hire an attorney. The Small Claims Court presentation will be held by Community Outreach Specialist Brian Acevedo.
