Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava hosts first-ever Civic Week to engage directly with Miami-Dade residents

MIAMI ( April 12, 2021 )

Thrive305 Civic Week continues this week with nightly virtual community conversations from 6 - 8 pm each day:

  • Monday 4/12: Health and Public Safety
  • Tuesday 4/13: Economy and Housing
  • Wednesday 4/14: Transit and Environment
  • Thursday 4/15: Trust and Responsiveness in County Government

Learn more and register for the conversations.

Throughout the week, Thrive305 and Miami artist Xavier Cortada are asking the community to join us in creating a collaborative art piece that captures and shares our collective voices, answering the question: "What does a thriving Miami-Dade County look like to you?" The artist will incorporate the words you submit into the Thrive305 collaborative digital message mural to be unveiled at the closing of Thrive305 Civic Week. Learn more and participate.

And on Saturday, Mayor Daniella Levine Cava kicked off Thrive305 Civic Week with a live in-person and virtual event hosted at the Adrienne Arsht Center. Watch the presentation and access the survey results.

"Government works best when it's closest to the people we serve, and that's what Thrive305 is all about," said Mayor Levine Cava. "Over 26,000 Miami-Dade County residents took the time to fill out our Thrive305 survey. During Civic Week we will share the survey results as we dig into a deeper conversation with residents about healthy and safe neighborhoods, transit, public safety, economic recovery, and more, to build an action plan that directly reflects the community's priorities. This is your chance to make your voice heard and I want to hear from you!"

Thrive305 is a countywide civic engagement initiative launched by Mayor Levine Cava in partnership with The Miami Foundation to leverage Miami-Dade's biggest asset, its residents, through a survey and series of workshops to inform County policies, focused on an equitable recovery and a thriving community.
