The project mission (as adopted by River of Grass Greenway Steering Committee) is: To determine the feasibility of a safe, non-motorized transportation and recreation corridor across the Everglades between Naples and Miami, that provides opportunities for education, stewardship, and preservation of the natural and cultural assets of this unique area.

Ideas on staying safe on the Greenway
Some pathways are separated by a guardrail, wall, rumble strips or other physical separation from the roadway. A guardrail might be problematic for park managers and visitors accessing the wildlands. What is your idea to get around this concern, while still keeping people safe?

The River of Grass Greenway will provide safe non-motorized access to Florida’s inland beauty. But that presents some risks to the environment. How do you think we can show off our Everglades while improving environmental conditions?
