(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- Mayor Carlos Alvarez has appointed Shelly Smith-Fano to Chair the Miami-Dade Sister Cities Coordinating Council. She is presently the Vice Chair of the Council, and the representative of the City of Asuncion, Paraguay.  Corinna Moebius was appointed as Vice Chair. She has been a member at large of the Council. In her new role she will support the Chair and serve as Chair in her absence.

Ms. Smith-Fano is the Director of the Hospitality Management Program at Miami Dade College. Ms. Moebius is the Director of Imagine Miami, a program of the Human Services Coalition.
