2014 Involved Father of the Year
Recently, an Early Head Start student, age 3, was diagnosed with Autism. Upon hearing of his son’s diagnosis, Esteban Campos committed himself to learning everything possible about the disability and what he needed to do to help his son succeed. Mr. Campos made sure that he was involved in every aspect of his son’s education and treatment, attending all parent-teacher conferences and therapy sessions. As a dedicated father, Mr. Campos wants to ensure that his son will grow up to be a happy, independent person.
The Fatherhood Task Force of South Florida has recognized Mr. Campos as the 2014 Involved Father of the Year. Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services Department and the Head Start/Early Head Start Program congratulate Mr. Campos on his extraordinary achievement. The department recognizes the importance of the involvement of fathers in the lives of their children, and Mr. Campos is a shining example of a father who has dedicated himself to the well-being of his child.
