Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services Department and Greater Miami Service Corps to Host its 4th Annual Golf Tournament and Awards Dinner
(MIAMI, October 9, 2013) – Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services Department (CAHSD), Greater Miami Service Corps (GMSC) will be hosting its 4th Annual Golf Tournament and Awards Dinner on Friday, October 11, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. The tournament will be held at the Country Club of Miami Golf Course, located at 6801 Miami Gardens Drive, Miami, Florida 33015. Registration will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a scramble shotgun starting at 1:00 p.m. Funds raised from the tournament will support educational scholarships and programmatic services for GMSC participants.
In 1990, the late Mayor Stephen P. Clark tapped notable civic and community leaders to apply for a pilot grant; 23 years later the program is still providing much needed community services. GMSC’s mission is to transform the lives of young people through education and service activities that improve our communities and strengthen our local workforce.
