Home Beautification Program available for residents of District 1

Low-income homeowners can benefit from home beautification program

(MIAMI, April 25, 2013) – Miami-Dade County continues to work with residents to bring out the best in their neighborhoods by offering low-income homeowners the opportunity to have their home painted and/or yard landscaped at no cost.  Through the District 1 Home Beautification Program, participants may have the exterior of their home painted and their property landscaped at no cost.  The program is available on a first come first served basis to residents in Miami-Dade Commission District 1 which includes the cities of Miami Gardens, Opa-Locka, and portions of North Miami Beach.

Homeowners are required to participate in a forgivable mortgage program which requires them to remain in their home for five years after the upgrades have been completed.
