Miami-Dade County Department of Solid Waste Management New Year's holiday schedule

(MIAMI, December 26, 2013) – Customers of the Miami-Dade County Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) should note that the upcoming New Year’s Day holiday, January 1, 2014, falls on a Wednesday.  Please see the schedule below for details.

Curbside Garbage and Trash Collection Service
The PWWM does not provide this service on Wednesdays, so customers will not be affected. 

Curbside Recycling
Curbside recycling service WILL take place as normally scheduled on Wednesday, January 1, 2014.  Customers whose recycling collection day falls on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, are advised to place their carts at the curb by 7 a.m. that day.

Disposal Facilities; Home Chemical Collection Centers
The Department’s disposal facilities, to include the Neighborhood Trash and Recycling Centers, Landfills, Resources Recovery Facility, Transfer Stations and Home Chemical Collection Centers, will observe normal hours of operation on Wednesday, January 1, 2014. 

Administrative Offices
The Department’s administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, January 1, 2014.
