Miami-Dade County has enlisted the participation of a Core Community Planning Team (CPT) and of Community Planning Teams established for each of the six Strategic Areas (Economic Development, Health and Human Services, Neighborhood and Unincorporated Area Municipal Services, Public Safety, Recreation and Culture, Transportation ), to work with the County in guiding the project through completion.

Core Community Planning Team
This Core community-based team has been organized to help to guide the Strategic Planning Initiative. Key County administrators will be working closely with the Core CPT to accomplish this goal.

Community Planning Teams established for the six Strategic Areas
To further develop common goals and a service delivery plan for each of these areas, Strategic Area Community Planning Teams (CPTs) have been established. Made up of leaders in our community, these Teams have been working with County staff to ensure that a great deal of community input is obtained and translated into goals, strategies and key objectives within each of their Strategic Areas. Such goals and objectives will formulate the Strategic Area Master Plans that will serve as a guide for County departments to construct annual business plans and ultimately run their departments.
