    Property Taxes Become Delinquent on April 1, 2008

    Real Estate and Tangible Personal Property Reminder Notices were mailed on April 4, 2008. Delinquent tax payments must be made by cashier's check, money order, or certified check. Postmarks will not be considered. Payment must be in our office by 3:00 p.m. on May 31, 2008.

    You may pay your real estate and tangible personal property taxes by e-checking through Saturday, May 31, 2008.  Please use the following links to access e-checking for real estate taxes  and tangible personal property taxes.

    Notice:
    For your convenience, our downtown and South Dade offices will open on Saturday, May 31, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    2008 Tax Certificate Sale

    For the fifth year, the 2008 Tax Certificate Sale will be conducted as an internet auction beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2008, with the last batch closing on noon on Thursday, June 5, 2008.

    "Occupational License" Has a New Name
    Please note that due to a change in state law, as of January 1, 2007 "Occupational License" will be renamed to "Local Business Tax Receipt".   Important Notice:  Renewal period started July 1, 2007.

    Local Business Tax Receipt Renewals
    Any person doing business in Miami-Dade County must have a Miami-Dade County Local Business Tax Receipt. The Receipt renewal due date is September 30th. Receipts not renewed by September 30th are delinquent and subject to applicable penalties.
