    Swimming Pools

    Team Metro is charged with the responsibility to uniformly enforce the Florida Building Code.

    Barriers are for safety and come in the form of:

    • screened-in patios
    • wooden or wire fences
    • rock or concrete block walls
    • other types

    All new construction of public swimming pools, spas and hot tubs shall be provided with a permanent barrier complying with the following:
    (1) The top of the barrier shall be at least 48” above grade measured on the side of the barrier which faces away from the swimming pool.
