Melrose is the only unincorporated area of the Empowerment Zone and a designated Federal target area. We work very closely with the Melrose Empowerment Zone Neighborhood Assembly and the Melrose Community Development Advisory Board to improve the overall quality of life in the area by eliminating blight and deterioration of housing and businesses.
