A Prescription Assistance Program
You can now find information on the Sunshine for Seniors program at any Team Metro Office and the Government on the Go Bus.  Information is also available at any of the Department of Human Services Neighborhood Centers.

Sunshine for Seniors can help lower your prescription drug costs.  This counseling service will assist in enrolling eligible elders in free and discounted prescription drug programs.  It is implemented through the SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) volunteer network and is sponsored locally by Area Agencies on Aging.

Sunshine for Seniors, a prescription assistance program, provides the following:

• Informs seniors about free and discounted prescription drug programs and eligibility requirements
• Helps seniors choose prescription plans that best meet their needs
• Assists with program application process

You may be eligible if:

• You are age 60 or older
• Your health care insurance isn’t covering your prescription drug costs
• You need a more affordable prescription drug plan
