Enterprise Applications and Solutions
The Enterprise Applications and Solutions Division provide services that incorporate the development of new systems, as well as, provide an ongoing support required to maintain systems on an enterprise, consortium, and/or departmental basis. The types of services are many such as; system upkeep, improvements, development of new systems, integration services, vendor package implementation project management and special requests.
Business Intelligence Report/Dashboard Authoring
Leveraging the county’s Cognos Suite of products, a core group of BI specialists design and creates dashboards and reports for enterprise data that empowers users to view information for decision making and for use in their daily operations. Dashboards for both internal county operations as well as citizen facing have been implemented and are seamlessly incorporated as part of web pages, reports and applications.
Enterprise Content Management (ECM)
Electronic Document Management Systems provides the capability to capture and manage documents, electronic forms, workflow, and multimedia within the County. The centralized EDMS environment enables seamless communication of documents and business processes both within County departments and in conjunction with other County departments and agencies.
Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS)
Enterprise Asset Management project website was established to provide the County a single software platform for asset management, inventory management, and work orders management.
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
The Enterprise Resource Planning project involves the establishment of a financial application as a replacement for the current systems used by the Aviation and Water and Sewer departments. These applications now run independently in each department. The new financial software platform will run on a shared platform.
State of the art technology supports countywide sustainability efforts. Enterprise initiatives include a countywide Utility Bill Management Solution, originally implemented as part of an ARRA grant to enable electronic data interchange for processing electric bills to measure energy consumption and track savings as well as submitting an Energy Star rating for buildings. Various reports and a user friendly flow enable the tracking of utility bills for facilities simplifying the comparison of statistics between buildings and electric accounts. Additional initiatives employ technology to foster a greener County through dashboards, asset management and green business opportunities.
Justice and Public Safety Applications Division
Povides in-house and vendor developed comprehensive solutions, as well as integration and project management services in support of:
• Courts Systems (Criminal, Juvenile andTraffic)
• Value Adjustment Board
• Code Enforcement
• e-Notify (for the electronic processing of subpoenas for countywide law enforcement)
• Automated Arrest Form (A-Form) (for the electronic submission of the arrest form for countywide law enforcement)
• Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation applications
• Jail Management System
• Miami-Dade Police Department applications
