Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Self Service
The GIS Self Services site allows GIS users to download all public available data, at no cost. There are approximately 100 GIS data files available for download in shapefile (.zip) and DWG format. Please note that use of this data may require some proficiency in GIS and accessibility to GIS software.
Listed below is a brief description of all the available GIS applications.
The Address Search website allows users to enter an address or intersection within Miami-Dade County and get back information about that location, including X and Y Coordinates, Municipality and Zip Code. A map of the area using county GIS data is available as well as a Google map and a Google Earth map.
Artificial Reefs Finder
The Artificial Reefs Finder is an interactive map service where users can find the location of artificially created reefs off the coast of Miami-Dade County. Custom map displays can be created showing the geographic location and coordinates of the reefs.
The mission of the Office of Capital Improvements (OCI) is to facilitate, monitor, standardize and expedite County capital construction projects. County capital projects must meet countywide standards and are monitored through the County's Capital Improvement Information System (CIIS) that tracks work through all phases from planning and design through construction and project close-out. Through our GIS system you can see the current projects in a map display by either a specific location, a street or an area in the county.
e-Maps Online is an interactive map service where users can explore geographic data of Miami-Dade County. Custom map displays can be created through user-defined areas of interests, selection of various themes, and scale factors.
My Business is a service where users can search for information about Miami-Dade County commercial properties. Some of the information available is demographic statistics, land use, local contamination sources, and distances from important geographic features. Custom map displays can be created through user-defined areas of interests, including economic development and incentive areas.
My Home is an interactive map service where users can find information about real estate properties in Miami-Dade County. Search by owner name, address or folio number to see the latest assessment and sales information available. A map of the property can be created with the latest Orthophotography.
My Neighborhood is an interactive map service that provides users with geographic information about their neighborhood. Link sexual predators, crime incidents, property sales, land use, flood zones and capital improvement projects to their GIS function. Custom map displays can be created through user-defined areas of interests.
Neighborhood Stabilization Program
The Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) was established for the purpose of stabilizing communities that have suffered from foreclosures and abandonment. Through the purchase and redevelopment of foreclosed and abandoned homes and residential properties, the goal of the program is being realized. Using GIS technology, can determine if a property is in an eligible priority area. You can search for properties using one of several search methods, including by address, owner or folio number.
Self Services Data Download
Browse through our library of data. You can find files in polygon, point or line shapes. Please note that use of this data may require some proficiency in GIS and accessibility to GIS software.
Most production data, except parcel data, can be downloaded for free from this website. Parcel data is available for a fee by request or through a subscription service which provides automatic weekly updates.
Services Near You
Services Near You is a service where users can find information about county services near them. Find the nearest parks and libraries, public school boundaries, cable service area, and much more.
A custom map of the address entered and the surrounding area is displayed.
Sexual Offender Residence Search
Sexual Offender Residence Search gives the Miami-Dade Police Department and county residents the ability to determine if a registered sexual offender's or predator's intended residence is within 2,500 feet of a school, park or day care. The current residential locations of registered sexual offenders and predators are also displayed.

Web Applications in Development
This website will assist the Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security in the management of emergency related incidents that may occur in Miami-Dade County. The website will contain geographic an tabular information about critical facilities within the county including schools, public safety agencies, public transportation locations and known landmarks. The website is being developed by the Enterprise Technology Services Department's GIS Division using ArcGIS Server.
The Land Information System integrates 67 GIS layers supported by the 14 County departments involved in the land development process. This sharing of data will expedite the process and related areas, such as permitting and inspections, for the departments and the residents of Miami-Dade County by enabling readily accessible information on a sign site.
