Miami-Dade Transit To Host "Fete De La Musique" At Beethoven Promenade/Brickell Metrorail Station

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --
Joining the company of various U.S. cities and countries around the world, Miami-Dade Transit will host the Fete de la Musique (Festival of Music) Concert, at its Ludwig van Beethoven Promenade at the Brickell Metrorail Station in Miami, on Monday, June 21, 2004.  The event will feature various performances of classical music by local and international talent.

Originating in France in 1982, Fete de la Musique is an internationally recognized music festival that marks the first day of summer.  The event has expanded since 1982 to include more than 100 countries, including Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Japan and Italy.  The goal of the international event is to expose listeners to a wide variety of musical styles and traditions in a free, accessible location.
