March 2008 - Florida AT&T relocation began along NW 41st Street from NW 22nd Court to NW 24th Avenue, from NW 36th Street to NW 28th Street and NW 33rd Avenue to NW 37th Avenue.

January 2008 - Final Design was completed.

January 2008 - Florida City Gas began utility relocation along both the north and south sides of NW 41st Street from NW 22nd Court to NW 32nd Avenue.

January 2008 - Florida Power and Light (FPL) distributtion relocation began.

December 2007 - A notice to proceed (NTP) was issued to FPL Transmission.

April 2006 - A Value Engineering (VE) Workshop was held.

April 2006 - The United States Coast Guard issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and an Environmental Assessment (EA).

October 2004 - The decision was made to implement this project with 100% state and local funds. MDT has entered a Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) that will fund up to $100 million of the project costs. The balance of the project cost will be paid for by utilizing proceeds from the half-penny sales surtax.

September 2003 - The Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA) for the MIC/Earlington Heights Connector project was approved by the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), and in March 2006, the revised LPA was approved by the MPO.
