Metrobus, Metrorail and Metromover will provide regular service on Friday, July 3, 2009 and Saturday, July 4th.
Metrobus Route 95X special holiday schedule:
As a result of many employers observing Independence Day on Friday, July 3rd, Miami-Dade Transit is expecting a lower number of riders on Route 95X. As a cost-saving measure, MDT will be running on-demand service between downtown Miami and the Golden Glades Park & Ride lot. All other destinations, such as Civic Center, Brickell and Doral, will run as scheduled.
Additional Metrorail service during Fourth of July celebrations:
On Saturday, July 4th, Metrorail will provide regular 30-minute service. However, to accommodate transit riders attending the Fourth of July celebrations in downtown Miami, service will be provided every 15 minutes during evening hours.
-
Trains headed southbound will depart every 15 minutes from the Palmetto Station between 5:45 p.m. and 11:52 p.m. (last train).
-
Trains headed northbound will depart every 15 minutes from the Dadeland South Station between 7:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. (last train).
-
One southbound train and one northbound train will be standing by at the Government Center Station after 12:30 a.m. Both trains will depart at 1 a.m. These will be the last trains from Government Center Station.
Additional Metromover service during Fourth of July celebrations:
On Saturday, July 4th, Metromover will match Metrorail service hours.
