    Passes and Special Fares

Metropass and transit tokens are sold throughout Miami-Dade County. Check available outlets for the nearest location. Always call before visiting a sales outlet to verify that passes and tokens are still available for sale.

Skip the long lines. Order online! Buy your full-fare transit Metropass at the Miami-Dade Transit Online Store, and use Visa or MasterCard to pay.

Also buy a Metropass or tokens at any Transit Service Center, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., (downtown 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.) except major holidays; and at the Civic Center Metrorail station the last five weekdays of each month and the first weekday of the following month, from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (closes from noon - 1 p.m.)

Buy tokens from change machines in all Metrorail stations.

Use the Metropass (Discount Metropass excluded) on all Park & Ride buses and shuttles to special events, such as Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes games.

    Damaged, Lost, and Stolen Passes
If the magnetic strip on the back of the Metropass, Golden Passport, or Patriot Passport is damaged or comes in close contact with a magnet (e.g., magnetically-closed handbags), the fare gate may reject the pass.

If this happens to your Metropass, the security officer at Okeechobee, Civic Center, Government Center, Dadeland North, or Dadeland South station will exchange the pass. A damaged Metropass can also be exchanged at the Transit Service Center at Government Center Metrorail station.

Note: Transit does not replace lost or stolen Metropasses. In addition, registering for more than one transit program offering free rides is prohibited. Violators will be removed from the program(s).

If the magnetic strip on your Golden Passport or Patriot Passport is damaged, get a replacement at any transit service center when surrending the damaged passport.

If the Golden Passport or Patriot Passport is lost or stolen, the first replacement costs $5, the second $20, and the third replacement costs $50. These fees are waived when the police report listing the Golden Passport or Patriot Passport as stolen is submitted within 30 days of the theft.
