Topics
Speakers are available on a wide range of topics. Call us or browse through the list to find a topic of interest, such as the cost savings of using transit, bus service improvements, Metrorail expansion plans, traffic signal synchronization, and roadway improvements.
How to Request a Speaker
Either download and submit the Request-A-Speaker form http://www.miamidade.gov/transit/library/pii_pdfs/PII_Speaker_Request_Form.pdf, or call 786-469-5558.
If calling, please have the following information ready:
- Group name, size, and contact information
- Top two or three topics of your choice
- Preferred dates
- Language preference
Speakers Directory
The Speakers Bureau Directory consists of over 30 highly professional county employees who are willing to provide stimulating demonstrations, presentations, or tours. Community groups, schools, professional associations, businesses, and conference planners are invited to use this directory for assistance in identifying speakers and topics appropriate to their audiences.

There are two different ways to search the database:
- By speaker’s name
- By topic.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is there a fee for speakers?
- No. This is a free service of Miami-Dade County.
- How much advanced notice is needed to book a speaker?
- The more notice we have, the better the chances of successfully matching a speaker to your group's request. Three weeks is usually adequate.
- How do I book a speaker?
- Either download and submit a request form, or call the Speakers Bureau at 786-469-5558.
Transit staff is eager to speak to your group on matters of interest to you, the residents of our county. If you are interested in a topic not listed, please call, and we will try to accommodate your group.
We can also arrange tours of our facilities. Programs may be geared to children or adults, and to any time length you need.
