(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- On Thursday, November 16, 2006, at noon, the Miami Chapter of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO), a non-profit organization, will present three scholarships to students at a luncheon taking place at the following location:
Radisson Downtown Miami
1601 Biscayne Blvd.
Miami, FL
The luncheon raises funds for the Scholarship Trust Fund for minority students pursuing a higher education in the transportation industry and to promote the goals of the organization, which are:

To celebrate the accomplishments of minorities in the transportation industry.

To highlight the many opportunities for minority business within transportation.

To inform students of the vast career opportunities within the transportation industry.

To emphasize and promote the use of transportation and importance of multi-modalism.
