Miami-Dade Transit will provide additional Metrorail and Metromover service to serve those attending the Miami Carnival 2009 Parade and Festival on Sunday, October 11, 2009.
Metrorail service will be provided every 15 minutes starting at 1 p.m. going southbound from the Palmetto Station, and every 15 minutes starting at 2 p.m. going northbound from the Dadeland South Station.
Additional Metromover service will be provided until the last trains depart from the Government Center Station at approximately 1: 30 a.m. Monday morning.
Event goers can park for free at Metrorail stations when they purchase a 1-Day Pass for $5.
This pass can be loaded on an EASY Card, which is being offered for free that day, or an EASY Ticket - both available at EASY Card vending machines located at all Metrorail stations. An EASY Card is regularly sold for $2 each.
Metrobus users should be aware that due to the parade and festival, the following routes also will be detoured: 3, 16, 32, 120 Beach MAX, C, K, M and S.
