Miami-Dade Transit to reopen part of Metromover Friday, July 23, 2010


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- Miami-Dade Transit has completed the inspection of the Inner Loop and the Omni segment of the Outer Loop, and will resume regular service on these loops beginning at 5 a.m. on Friday, July 23, 2010. The Brickell segment of the Outer Loop will remain closed until further notice.

Shuttle buses will continue to provide free rides for patrons going to stations on the Brickell segment of the Outer Loop. The shuttle buses will be serving the following stations: Riverwalk, Fifth Street, Eighth Street, Tenth Street, Brickell, and Financial District.

The Brickell segment will remain closed while Miami-Dade Transit continues to investigate the incident that occurred on Tuesday, July 20, at the Brickell Metromover station.
Metrorail continues to run regular service.
