(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- Miami-Dade Transit is currently constructing the AirportLink. The following lane closures are necessary in order to perform this activity. Look for detour signs guiding motorists to use alternate routes.
Temporary lane closures on both eastbound and westbound SR 112/Airport Expressway
- Eastbound SR 112: Starting Thursday, April 7, 2011, through Thursday, April 21, 2011, traffic will be reduced to one lane on eastbound SR 112 between NW 27th Avenue and NW 42nd Avenue/LeJeune Road from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. All lanes will reopen at 5:30 a.m. each morning.
- Westbound SR 112: Starting Friday, April 22, 2011, through Thursday, May 5, 2011, traffic will be reduced to one lane on westbound SR 112 between NW 27th Avenue and NW 42nd Avenue/LeJeune Road from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. All lanes will reopen at 5:30 a.m. each morning.

The AirportLink project is a 2.4-mile elevated Metrorail extension from the existing Earlington Heights Metrorail Station to the MIC next to Miami International Airport. This vital project will provide a reliable Metrorail connection to the airport for the millions of residents, visitors and employees who travel to and from MIA every year.
