(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- On Sunday, October 30, 2011, several bus routes that serve in the Downtown Miami-Biscayne Boulevard area and Miami Beach, will be detoured due to the 2011 Rohto IronMan 70.3 Miami triathlon.
The bus detours will start as early as 6:30 a.m. and will continue as late as approximately 5:30 p.m. The routes that will be affected include: 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 17, 21, 27, 32, 37, 42, 62, 73, 77, 120 Beach MAX, 133, 207, 208, 211, C, M, and S.
Also, all routes that serve the bus terminal near SW First Street and SW First Avenue will be detoured to the bus area at the Stephen P. Clark Government Center, 111 NW First St., from approximately 6:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Miami-Dade Transit will have specially designated buses that will provide service along the MacArthur Causeway only for patrons boarding or disembarking at stops located on the causeway. These buses will have 'shuttle' on its destination sign.
