Miami-Dade Transit to provide shuttle service between Culmer and Historic Overtown/Lyric Theatre Metrorail stations

(MIAMI, July 5, 2012) – In order to improve the Metrorail system and make your commute more efficient, MDT is making improvements to the track equipment in the Culmer area on Saturday, July 7, 2012 and Sunday, July 8, 2012.

MDT encourages passengers to plan their commute carefully this weekend and allow for extra travel time to reach their destinations. There will be various signs posted at both Culmer and Historic Overtown/Lyric Theatre stations. These signs provide further instructions on where to catch the free shuttle buses and will help direct passengers to their desired destination.

Those traveling southbound will need to exit at Culmer station, take the shuttle bus to the Historic Overtown/Lyric Theatre, and re-board the Metrorail train there to continue on their southbound commute.

Those passengers traveling northbound must exit at Historic Overtown/Lyric Theatre, take the shuttle bus to the Culmer station, and re-board the Metrorail train there to continue on their northbound commute.

Please visit the MDT website at www.miamidade.gov/transit for additional information.

It is the policy of Miami Dade County to comply with all of the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The facility is accessible. For sign language interpreters, assistive listening devices or materials in accessible format, please call at least five days in advance.
