Monday, Dec. 24, 2012:

• Metrobus, Metrorail and Metromover will operate on a regular weekday schedule.
• Several Metrobus routes that provide only weekday rush-hour service will begin service earlier on Dec. 24, 2012, starting at noon, from the following locations: 
  • Route 34: From the Dadeland South Metrorail station
  • Routes 204, 272, and 288: From the Dadeland North Metrorail station
  • Route 95 Express: From downtown Miami, Civic Center, Brickell and NE 36 St. and Biscayne Blvd.
  • Route 95 Dade-Broward Express: From the first stop at NW 8 St. and 1 Ct. at 12:20 p.m. and 12:40 p.m.

Because these routes will be providing service earlier, which is not part of the regular scheduled service, supervisors will be on site at the locations above to assist customers with information on departing times for the bus routes.

IMPORTANT: Routes 34, 204, 272, 288, 95 Express, and 95 Dade-Broward Express also will provide service earlier on Dec. 31, 2012 from the same locations.

 Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012:

• Metrobus, Metrorail and Metromover will operate on a Sunday schedule.

 Monday, Dec. 31, 2012:

• Metrobus, Metrorail and Metromover will operate on a regular weekday schedule.
• On New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, 2012, starting at approximately 8:30 p.m., Metrorail will provide regular weekday service with a service frequency of every 15 minutes between the Dadeland South and Earlington Heights stations; and every 30 minutes between the Palmetto and Earlington Heights Stations.
• On Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, the last northbound and southbound trains will depart from the Government Center Station at 2 a.m. Metromover also will continue to run until approximately 2 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2013. 

Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013:

• Metrobus, Metrorail and Metromover will operate on a Sunday schedule.

Parking facilities at Metrorail stations will remain open until the stations close at 2 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2013.

To avoid long lines at Metrorail stations during New Year’s Eve, transit riders are encouraged to load at least $4 on an EASY Card or EASY Ticket at any Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) early. Riders are reminded that a 1-Day Pass is good for one calendar day and that it expires at 2 a.m. the following day.
