Transit Service Extended For Ultra Music Festival 2013

Metrorail and Metromover trains will run until 1 a.m. on event nights

(MIAMI, March 15, 2013) - Miami-Dade Transit (MDT) will extend its Metrorail and Metromover service to accommodate the large crowds expected to attend the 2013 Ultra Music Festival in Downtown Miami taking place Friday, March 15th, Saturday, March 16th and Sunday, March 17, 2013 and again the following weekend on Friday, March 22nd, Saturday, March 23rd and Sunday, March 24, 2013.

Metrorail and Metromover service will be extended to 1:00 a.m., and Transit Supervisors will be on hand to assist passengers as needed. Please note that Metromover is free for all patrons.

To avoid long lines at the ticket vending machines at Metrorail stations, MDT is encouraging all Ultra Music Festival goers to purchase and load an EASY Card or EASY Ticket prior to the event. Both are available at EASY Card ticket vending machines located at all Metrorail stations, at the Golden Glades Park & Ride lot and at more than 80 EASY Card sales outlets located throughout Miami-Dade County.

For more information on how to obtain an EASY Card or EASY Ticket, or about transit schedules, event goers can visit www.miamidade.gov/transit, or call 305-891-3131, Monday-Friday, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. TTY users can call 305-499-8971.
