Miami-Dade Transit to Launch New Transit Online Store

New store will offer more options and be more user friendly

(MIAMI, December 4, 2013) – To better serve its customers, Miami-Dade Transit soon will launch a new online store that will offer its users a one-stop cyber shop for purchasing a variety of transit products and managing their EASY Cards.

The improved online store will have enhanced security features and will offer a greater variety of fare-loading options.

Among the new Transit store features:

  • More user-friendly navigation that will make it easier to purchase an EASY Card, load passes, add cash value, and manage multiple EASY Cards.
  • The ability to load passes and cash value onto Discounted Fare EASY Cards (K-12 and reduced-fare EASY Cards), and add cash value to all other EASY Cards. This feature was previously unavailable on the online store.

Additionally, the EASY Card Terms and Conditions will be updated as part of the new store.

EASY Card customers who have their cards set to automatically reload will see no interruption to their current replenishment settings.

As MDT builds its new online store, the existing EASY Card website will be unavailable between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. each evening starting Thursday, Dec. 5, through Monday, Dec. 16, 2013. Customers should plan accordingly when making a purchase or loading an EASY Card online.

For more information, customers can call 3-1-1, or 305-891-3131, weekdays, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. TTY users can call 305-499-8971. The County’s 3-1-1 Answer Center is closed during County-observed holidays.
