Metrorail track repairs will close lanes on NW 79 Street on weekends

From January to March 2014, streets near Northside Metrorail Station will be affected

(MIAMI, Jan. 8, 2014) – Miami-Dade Transit will be performing track repairs adjacent to the Northside Metrorail Station, which will require periodic lane closures along NW 79 St. between NW 30 Ave. and NW 31 Ave., from Friday, January 10, 2014 to Sunday, March 30, 2014.

The lane closures will take place every weekend beginning Fridays at 8 p.m. until Mondays at 5 a.m.

From January 10^th to February 16^th, eastbound lanes will be closed and there will be two-way traffic on the westbound side
From February 21^st to March 30^th, westbound lanes will be closed and there will be two-way traffic on the eastbound side
