Metrorail Track Repairs Will Close Lanes On 79th Street - Updated

Streets near Northside Metrorail Station affected on weekends until the end of March 2014

(MIAMI, Jan. 16, 2014) – Miami-Dade Transit will be performing track repairs adjacent to the Northside Metrorail Station, causing periodic lane closures along NW 79 St., between NW 30^th and NW 31^st avenues, from now until Monday, March 31, 2014.

The lane closures will take place every weekend beginning Fridays at 8 p.m. until Mondays at 5 a.m.

From now until Monday, February 17, 2014:

All eastbound lanes on NW 79^th St., between NW 30^th and 31^st avenues, will be closed and there will be two-way traffic on the westbound side; except for Saturdays, between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., when the outside lane will remain open.

From Friday, February 21^st, to Monday, March 31, 2014:

All westbound lanes will be closed and there will be two-way traffic on the eastbound side of NW 79^th Street.
