Metromover Extensions Closing Early for Repair and Track Work

(MIAMI, October 20, 2014) – Metromover’s Brickell and Omni extensions will be closing early today, and throughout the rest of the week, to repair 30-year-old cables and do necessary track work.

The Brickell and Omni extensions will close starting at 9 p.m., Oct. 20-24, 2014. Free bus-shuttle service will be provided from 9 p.m. until midnight between stations on the Omni and Brickell extensions.

Regular service on the extensions is expected to resume at approximately 5 a.m. each morning.

In addition, throughout the rest of the week, Metromover will run only single cars on the Omni and Brickell extensions.

Metromover’s Inner Loop will continue to provide regular service, from approximately 5 a.m. until midnight.
Miami-Dade Transit apologizes for the inconvenience. However, this work is necessary in order to minimize service disruptions.
