Metromover System Closing Early For Track Work

Miami-Dade Transit technicians will work on Metromover system.


(Miami, Nov. 3, 2014) – In order to continue necessary repair and track work, the Metromover system will have early closures during the week, and will be closed during the weekend.

The schedule for the closures is the following:

Monday, Nov. 3, through Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014:
•    The Brickell and Omni extensions will close at 9 p.m.  Free bus-shuttle service will be provided between Metromover stations, with buses arriving at approximately every 10 to 15 minutes.
•    The Inner Loop will provide regular service until midnight.

Friday, Nov. 7, through Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014:
•    The entire Metromover system will close at 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7th, and will remain closed for the remainder of the weekend.
•    Free bus-shuttle service will be provided between Metromover stations, with buses arriving at approximately every 10 to 15 minutes.
•    Metromover is expected to resume regular service at 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014.

Miami-Dade Transit apologizes for the inconvenience, but the closures are necessary in order to facilitate the repair and track work aimed at minimizing service disruptions.
