Miami-Dade Transit hosts 2014 Toy Drive

No child should be left without a toy this holiday season

(MIAMI, December 4, 2014) - Miami-Dade Transit's annual toy drive provides transit passengers an opportunity to bring happiness and hope this holiday season to our community’s neediest children.

By donating a new, unwrapped toy valued at $5 or more at the seven listed Metrorail stations, we can all ensure that children in Miami-Dade County receive a holiday gift this season.

On Thursday, December 11th and Friday, December 12th, please bring a new, unwrapped toy to any of the following seven Metrorail stations:

“Every child should be able to experience the magic of the holiday season,” said Miami-Dade Transit Director Ysela Llort. “That’s why we are asking for the community’s help again this year, so together we can provide presents to children who need them the most.”

For more information about the toy drive, the public can visit MDT’s website at
www.miamidade.gov/transit or call 3-1-1 (TDD 305-499-8971). Transit information is also available via Facebook (MiamiDadeTransit) or Twitter (@IRideMDT).
