Metromover System Closing Next Weekend for Track Work

Free Bus Shuttle Service will be provided between Metromover stations

(Miami, January 8, 2015) - In order to do necessary maintenance work, the Metromover system will close Saturday, January 17th and Sunday, January 18, 2015.

Free bus-shuttle service will be provided between Metromover stations, with buses arriving approximately every 10 to 15 minutes.

A map of where shuttle buses will pick up and drop off patrons is available at MDT’s Metromover web page at: http://www.miamidade.gov/transit/metromover.asp.

Miami-Dade Transit apologizes for the inconvenience; however, this closure is necessary to replace a cable that powers Metromover cars and to perform needed track work. 

Metromover will reopen for regular service at 5 a.m. on Monday, January 19, 2015.
