Metromover System closing this weekend for maintenance work

Free Bus Shuttle Service will be provided between Metromover stations

(Miami, January 27, 2015) – In order to complete maintenance work, the Metromover system will close Saturday, January 31, and Sunday, February 1, 2015.

Free bus-shuttle service will be provided between Metromover stations, with buses arriving approximately every 10 to 15 minutes.

A map of where shuttle buses will pick up and drop off patrons is available at MDT’s Metromover web page.

This closure is necessary to continue working on replacing a cable that powers Metromover cars and to perform needed track work. 

Metromover will reopen for regular service at 5 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2015.
