Metromover System temporarily closing for upgrades

Free Bus Shuttle Service will be provided between Metromover stations

(Miami, June 3, 2015) – In order to perform upgrades and preventive maintenance work, the Metromover system will close temporarily between 9 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015, and 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 6.

Free bus-shuttle service will be provided between all Metromover stations, with buses arriving approximately every 10 to 15 minutes.

A map of where shuttle buses will pick up and drop off patrons is available at MDT’s Metromover web page.

Miami-Dade Transit apologizes for the inconvenience; however, this closure is necessary to continue doing system upgrades and to perform preventive maintenance work. Patrons are encouraged to plan accordingly.

Metromover is scheduled to reopen for regular service at approximately 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 6.

For general transit information, the public can download the free Miami-Dade Transit Tracker app, or visit the website. Transit riders also can register to receive Rider Alerts. Likewise, transit information is available via Facebook (MiamiDadeTransit) and Twitter (@IRideMDT).

In addition, Miami-Dade Transit’s webpage provides complete schedule information, station maps and more. Transit users also can call 305-891-3131, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
