This new program offers Miami-Dade County residents, whose annual income is between $17,820 and $23,760 a specially-coded EASY Card that will allow them to ride Metrobus and Metrorail at half fare. Commuter Reduced Fare card holders will have the option to load the card with monetary value, a 1-Month Pass for $56.25, a 7-Day Pass for $14.60, or a 1-Day Pass for $2.80.
Adjustments will be made to 31 routes to improve the system’s overall efficiency.
On May 3, 2016, Ordinance 16-42 was adopted providing for the licensing and regulation of Transportation Network Entities (TNE) as well as TNE drivers and vehicles. The ordinance provides for the issuance of preliminary licenses after the effective date of this ordinance. These preliminary licenses will be valid for 30 days. The Department of Transportation and Public Works will be accepting TNE preliminary license applications beginning Monday, May 16, 2016. The application form can be obtained online or at our office located at 601 NW 1st Ct., 18th Floor, Miami, FL 33136. Applications may be submitted by mail or delivered in person to the same address, or submitted by email.
In the wake of today’s attack of the Brussels transit system in Belgium, Miami-Dade County’s Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) is currently operating in a heightened security stance.

Starting Thursday, October 22, 2015, there will be an additional afternoon trip to and from Marathon Key on Route 301 Dade-Monroe Express. As a result there will be two mid-afternoon trips from Marathon to Florida City, at 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., instead of the current single trip departing at 3:45 p.m.
