    New Routes

    Route 1

    The route will be revised to run from South Miami Heights to the 168 Street Busway Station. The Busway segment to Dadeland South Station will be discontinued.  Passengers can transfer to alternative routes (Routes 31, 34, 38) on the Busway.

    Buses will run every 30 minutes instead of every 40 minutes during weekday peak hours, and every 40 minutes instead of every 60 minutes on weekends.

    The weekday 10:40 p.m. northbound trip from SW 115 Avenue and Quail Roost will be discontinued. The last weekday northbound trip will be at 9:45 a.m. On weekends, the last northbound trip from SW 115 Avenue will be extended to 8:25 p.m.

    Route 3

    This route will be revised to operate from Aventura Mall to downtown Miami along the current route.  Buses will continue to run every 18 minutes on weekdays. Saturday service frequencies will be improved to every 15 minutes. Sunday frequencies will be improved to every 20 minutes.

    Faster service along Biscayne Blvd continues with Route 93 (Biscayne MAX) running every 18 minutes in rush hours and every 30 minutes in the midday, weekdays only.

    The route segment from Aventura Mall to Hallandale Beach including Country Club Drive will be discontinued. Route E will be extended to replace Route 3 serving Country Club Drive and Turnberry. The Aventura Express also serves Aventura Mall (Macy's east entrance) and Country Club Drive. The portion of Route 3 on Aventura Blvd and U.S. 1, including Aventura Hospital, will be served by Route E and Broward County Transit Route 1.  Broward County Transit Route 28 connects Aventura Mall and Hallandale Beach Blvd via A1A.

    Route 7

    The NW 42 Avenue branch to Miami International Airport and Miami Springs will be discontinued and replaced by Route 42.  Route 7 passengers can transfer to and from Route 42 at NW 42 Avenue and 7 Street. The revised Route 7 will continue via NW 7 Street with alternate trips ending at NW 7th Sreet/60 Avenue near the Metropolitan Hospital. Route 7 buses will run ever 15 minutes in the weekday peak, every 20 minutes in the midday, and every 20 minutes on weekends from downtown Miami to NW 7 Street and 60 Avenue. Service west of NW 60 Avenue to Dolphin Mall will remain the same.

    The following weekday trips will be discontinued due to low ridership:

    • 5:34 a.m. westbound trip from Mall of the Americas
    • 5:50 a.m. westbound trip from downtown Miami
    • 5:24 a.m. eastbound trip from NW 7 Street and 42 Avenue.

    Route 8

    Weekday peak service between SW 57 Avenue and Westchester will be reduced from six to four buses per hour.  Service levels between SW 57 Avenue and downtown Miami will be the same. Weekday evening service will be adjusted to every 15 minutes between 6 and 7 p.m. and every 20 minutes between 7 and 8 p.m.

    Route 10

    This route will be extended from the 163 Street Mall to the Skylake Mall via NE 15 Avenue, replacing Route 75. The new end of the line will be Miami Gardens Drive and NE 19 Avenue. Sunday evening trips after 7:00 p.m. will end at the 163 Street Mall and will not serve NE 15 Avenue or Skylake.

    The first weekday northbound trip departing from Omni will be changed to 5:43 a.m. The second northbound trip will be at 6:25 a.m.

    Route 11

    Evening service levels will be adjusted slightly on weekdays to every 12 minutes between 6 and 7 p.m. and to every 20 minutes between 7 and 9 p.m. Route 11 will continue ending every other trip at the Mall of the Americas later in the evening until approximately 10 p.m.

    Route 16

    This route will end at the Omni Terminal instead of the Downtown Bus Terminal.  Passengers can transfer to Metromover or Routes 3, 93, C, S, and Beach MAX.

    Route 16 buses will run every 30 minutes in the midday on weekdays and every 18 minutes during rush hours.  Saturday service will be enhanced to every 24 minutes during daytime hours.  Sunday service frequencies of every 30 minutes will remain the same.

    Route 21

    The special weekday service (Route 221) from the Northside Station to the North Dade Health Center via NW 27 Avenue will be discontinued. Route G will be extended to the North Dade Health Center. Routes 27 and the 27 Avenue MAX serve NW 27 Avenue. Riders not wishing to walk to the Health Center from the nearest NW 27 Avenue bus stop can transfer to/from Route G without crossing NW 27 Avenue.

    Route 22

    The branch of Route 22 to the Civic Center/Health District via NW 20 Avenue will be discontinued.  Passengers can transfer to Metrorail at the Earlington Heights Station or to Route 32 at NW 22 Avenue and 20 Street.  Those trips that had served the Civic Center/Health District will continue from NW 20 Street on NW 22 Avenue to Flagler Street, resulting in more frequent service along that segment of NW 22 Avenue.

    Weekday midday service will be adjusted to hourly from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. south of Flagler Street.  In addition, northbound 30 minute service frequencies will begin at 6 p.m. instead of 6:30 p.m. 

    The following early morning weekday trips will be discontinued:

    • 4:38 a.m. southbound trip from Golden Glades
    • 5:08 a.m. southbound trip from Golden Glades

    Route 24

    The Route 224 (Coral Way MAX) will be combined with the Route 24. Five trips per peak period of Route 24 will be extended to SW 152 Avenue and Coral Way. Eastbound service from SW 152/147 Avenue will be from 5:34 a.m. to 7:33 a.m. estbound service to SW 147/152 Avenue will arrive from 4:47 p.m. to 7:05 p.m. 

    The Route 24 will continue to serve the Vizcaya Station and downtown Miami.  The revised Route 24 service will not travel to the Douglas Road Station.

    Early morning weekday frequencies westbound will be every 30 minutes for trips departing downtown Miami before 7 a.m. he 5:27 a.m. eastbound trip from Westchester will be discontinued.

    Route 28

    Route 28 will be merged with the Route E to create a new route named Route 135.  The Route 135 will run along NW 135 Street/Opa-locka Blvd between the FIU Biscayne Bay campus with one leg to Hialeah and the other leg to Miami Lakes. This new route will serve the Opa-locka Tri-Rail Station via Sinbad, Sharazad, and Sesame. The weekday frequencies will be every 30 minutes with service every 20 minutes westbound from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. and from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.  Both the Hialeah and Miami Lakes legs will be hourly on weekdays from approximately 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.

    Weekend Route 135 service will be hourly between 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Service on weekends will be between FIU and the Hialeah Station leg only, as with current service.

    Route 31

    Rush hour frequencies will be improved from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes. Off-peak service will remain the same. This improvement provides extra service for the new park-ride lot at the Busway and SW 112 Avenue.

    Route 32

    The weekday evening service frequencies will be every 60 minutes after 7 p.m. The following trips will be discontinued:   

    • 8:05 p.m. southbound trip from NW 199 St.
    • 11:37 p.m. southbound trip from NW 199 St. Last trip will be 10:37 p.m.

    On weekends, the 10:28 p.m. trip from NW 199 Street will be discontinued. The last trip will be at 9:43 p.m.

    Route 35

    Service in the Naranja area will be extended to SW 260 Street and realigned to SW 264 Street between U.S. 1 and SW 139 Court instead of SW 268 Street. This realignment will result in closer service to a higher density area of Naranja.  Route 70 provides alternative service along SW 268 Street.

    Route 36

    The following trips will be discontinued:

    • 5:05 a.m. weekday westbound trip from NW 32 Avenue/36 Street. First trip from that location will be 5:25 a.m.
    • 9:25 p.m. weekday westbound trip from Biscayne Blvd. Rt. J provides alternative service.
    • 6:23 a.m. Sunday westbound trip from NW 32 Avenue/36 Street. First trip from that location will leave at 6:53 a.m.

    Route 38

    On weekdays, schedule adjustments will result in 15-minute frequencies leaving Florida City northbound from 5 a.m. to 5:50 a.m. and 12-minute frequencies from Florida City from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. Southbound in the early morning, the 5:55 a.m. trip will be discontinued with alternative service at 5:40 and 6:10 a.m.

    Weekday evening service will be adjusted with the 7:18 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. trips discontinued. Northbound service will be every 30 minutes during the early evening.

    Route 40

    Route 240 (Bird Road MAX) will be merged with Route 40. The revised Route 40 will be extended to SW 152 Avenue and adjusted to travel to SW 137 Avenue/Bird Road.  Current Route 40 service on SW 147 Avenue between Bird Road and SW 47 Street will be discontinued but is within walking distance of the revised route.  The Route 40 connects with Metrorail at the Douglas Road Station.

    Rush hour frequencies for Route 40 will be enhanced to every 15 minutes. Both west-end branches (SW 8 Street/132 Avenue and SW 152 Avenue) will have 30-minute rush hour service frequencies. Service levels will remain the same during offpeak hours and weekends.

    Route 42

    Route 42 will be restructured to operate from the Douglas Road Metrorail Station to the Opa-locka Tri-Rail Station serving the Airport Terminal. Alternate trips of the Route 42 will be realigned from LeJeune Road to Miami Springs along the current Route 7 alignment. 

    Route 42 service will be discontinued along Bird Road from the Douglas Road Station to the Coconut Grove Station. Route 6 provides alternative service along Bird Road between SW 32 and 27 avenues. Service also will be discontinued from the Opa-locka Tri-Rail Station to Golden Glades. Alternatives to the Ali Baba Avenue segment are Route 27 on NW 27 Avenue and Route 22 on NW 22 Avenue. Route 22 provides alternative service for current Route 42 riders on NW 22 Avenue and Route 75 provides an alternative on NW 175 Street.

    The frequency will improve to every 15 minutes in peak hours and 30 minutes in off-peak hours between the Douglas Road Station and NW 36 Street/42 Avenue, including the Airport. North of NW 36 Street, rush hour frequencies will be every 30 minutes to Miami Springs and every 30 minutes to Opa-locka via NW 42 Avenue.  Off-peak and weekend service will be every 60 minutes for each leg. 

    After 7 p.m. each evening, Route 42 will operate hourly between the Douglas Road Station and Miami International Airport Terminal only.

    Route 46 - Liberty City Connection

    The following trips will be discontinued:

    • 2:20 p.m. eastbound trip from the Caleb Center
    • 7:00 p.m. eastbound trip from the Caleb Center
    • 7:00 p.m. westbound trip from NW 7 Av./62 St.

    The last eastbound trip will leave the Caleb Center at 6:30 p.m., and the last westbound trip will depart NW 7 Avenue/62 Street at 6:35 p.m.

    Route 48

    The following trips will be discontinued:

    • 5:40 am southbound trip from the Brickell Station
    • 5:44 a.m. northbound trip from the University Station
    • 7:35 p.m. southbound trip from the Brickell Station
    • 7:35 p.m. northbound trip from the University Station

    Route 48 will operate weekdays only from about 6:40 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.

    Route 51 - Flagler MAX

    The Route 51 will be truncated at SW 1 Street/1 Avenue and the Government Center. Service between Government Center and the Omni Bus Terminal via Biscayne Blvd will be discontinued. Alternative service is available on Metromover or Routes 3, 93, C, S, and 120 (Beach MAX) from the downtown bus terminal.

    Route 52

    The segment of the route from South Miami to the Dadeland North Station will be discontinued. The north end of line for the Route 52 will be Dadeland North Station. Passengers can transfer to Metrorail and travel to/from South Miami Station.

    The segment of Route 52 west of SW 112 Avenue to SW 127 Avenue currently served with three trips per weekday peak period will be discontinued. Alternative service is available east of the Busway with Routes 35 and 38 on SW 216 Street, within walking distance from SW 220 Street.  West of the Busway, riders can access Route 34 (Busway Flyer) or Route 38 (Busway MAX) at the SW 216 Street Busway Station.

    The spur along Quail Roost Road from SW 117 Avenue to SW 200 Street will be discontinued on weekends only.  Nearby alternative service is available on SW 122 Avenue with Route 137.

    Route 54

    The Route 282 will be merged with the Route 54 resulting in a revised Route 54 operating from Biscayne Blvd/NE 54 Street to Miami Gardens Drive/NW 87 Avenue. On weekdays only from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., alternate trips of Route 54 will be extended along the current Route 282 alignment from W 60 Street (NW 114 Street) to Miami Gardens Drive.

    Current Route 282 riders travelling to Metrorail can use the extended Route 54 which serves the Hialeah Metrorail Station.  The current service frequency of Route 54 will stay the same between W. 60 Street/28 Avenue (NW 114 Street/87 Avenue) in Hialeah and Biscayne Blvd. The extended segment replacing Route 282 will run every 45 to 50 minutes in rush hours and every 60 minutes in the midday. The Route 54 will remain the same on weekends.

    Special Route 54 trips to Barbara Goleman High School will not run to NW 89 Avenue. Students can use the bus stops on NW 87 Avenue to and from school. The special trip to MacArthur North High School will be discontinued.

    Route 56

    The following weekday trips will be discontinued:

    • 5:32 a.m. eastbound trip from the University Station.  The first trip will be 5:50 pm
    • 6:50 p.m. eastbound trip from SW 152 Av. The last trip will be 5:47 p.m.
    • 7:15 p.m. eastbound trip from MDC - Kendall. The last trip will be 6:20 p.m.
    • 6:47 p.m. westbound trip from Children's Hospital. Evening service will be approximately 60 min. until 8:05 p.m.

    Route 57

    The 6:27 p.m. northbound trip from the SW 152 Street/Busway will be discontinued. The last northbound trip will depart at 5:47 p.m.

    Route 62

    Route 62 will be shortened to operate from Hialeah/MLK Station to Biscayne Blvd/62 Street.  The segment of the route between Biscayne Blvd/62 Street and the Omni Terminal will be discontinued.  Passengers can transfer at Biscayne Blvd/62 Street to and from Routes 3, 16, and 93 to destinations along Biscayne Blvd. 

    Service on the Route 62 Beach will continue with four trips per peak. The morning trips to Indian Creek/41 Street will depart from MLK Station at 5:46, 6:13, 6:43 and 7:13 a.m. The afternoon trips will leave Indian Creek/41 Street at 4:18, 4:48, 5:18 and 5:48 p.m. These trips will continue to stop along Biscayne Blvd.

    Saturday evening service will be changed, with the 30-minute westbound service frequency beginning at 7:30 p.m.  West of the MLK Station to Hialeah, weekend service will be discontinued after 9:00 p.m.

    Route 65

    Routes 65 and 136 will be merged into a single route named Route 136. This new route will serve the ridership of the current Routes 65 and 136 more efficiently. In the morning, the revised route will operate southbound from the Douglas Road Station along the Route 65 alignment to U.S. 1 then continue west along the Route 136 alignment to SW 147 Avenue.  In the afternoon, the revised route will operate eastbound along the Route 136 alignment to U.S. 1 and then continue northbound along the Route 65 alignment to Douglas Road.

    Buses will run approximately every 50 minutes in the morning and afternoon. The new Route 136 buses will leave the Douglas Road Station at 6:30, 7:20, 8:10 and 9:00 a.m.  In the afternoon, service will depart US 1/136 Street at 1:44, 2:37, 3:17, 4:00, 4:50, and 5:40 p.m.

    Route 71

    Route 212 (Sweetwater Circulator) will be merged with Route 71. The Route 71 will be realigned to SW 112 Avenue between SW 4 Street and NW 7 Street instead of SW/NW 107 Avenue. On the south end of the route, Route 71 will terminate at MDC-Kendall campus and will not operate south of SW 104 Street to SW 107 Street.  Route 104 provides an alternative along SW 107 Street.

    The service hours and frequency will remain the same. Two early evening weekday trips will be discontinued:

    • 6:48 p.m. northbound trip from MDC-Kendall
    • 7:22 p.m. southbound trip from Dolphin Mall

    Route 73

    The Route 267 (Ludlam MAX) will be merged into the Route 73. The revised Route 73 will be extended from NW 60 Avenue and Miami Lakes Drive to Miami Gardens Drive and NW 68 Avenue via NW 67 Avenue. The segment of the Route 73 east of NW 60 Avenue/Miami Lakes Drive to the Miami Lakes Technical School and Palmetto Lakes Industrial Park will have an alternative on weekdays along most of the alignment with Route 29.

    Route 73 service frequencies and hours of service will remain unchanged.  Riders traveling to the Miami Lakes Technical Education Center can transfer to Route 29 at NW 60 Avenue and Miami Lakes Drive.  The Technical Education Center is also served by Route 75.

    Route 75

    This route will be split into two routes: New Route 75 operating between the Miami Lakes Technical Education Center and FIU Biscayne Bay campus and the new Route 19 travelling from the 163 Street Mall to MDC North. The new Route 75 will be realigned to serve segments of the current Route 83 in North Dade as that route will be merged and restructured.  Route 19 will follow the same alignment as the current Route 75 south of 163 Street Mall.

    The schedules of new Routes 19 and 75 will be coordinated for easy transfers between the two routes at 163 Street Mall.  New Route 75 will serve the FIU Biscayne Bay campus with the first bus arriving at 6:37 a.m. and last bus departing at 10:27 p.m. on weekdays. On Saturdays, FIU will be served from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and all Sunday service will terminate at 163 Street Mall.

    Service frequencies will be 30 minutes on weekdays for both the new Routes 19 and 75.  Route 75 will run every 45 minutes on Saturdays and every 60 minutes on Sundays. Route 19 will not operate on weekends. In addition, Route 75 will operate to NW 199 Street between NW 7 and 12 Avenue on weekdays only.

    The last eastbound trip of the new Route 75 will be at 9:08 p.m. The current 10:07 p.m. trip will be discontinued.  In addition, the Route 75 first westbound trip from 163 Street Mall will depart at 5:30 a.m. instead of 5:09 a.m. The first southbound trip of Route 19 from 163 Street Mall will leave at 6:05 a.m. instead of 5:22 a.m.

    Route 83

    Routes 83 and the183 MAX will be combined into a single route called the Route 183 Local.  The new Route 183 Local will operate along the same alignment as the current Route 183 between NW 87 Avenue and Aventura Mall but will make all local stops. 

    The new Route 183 Local will operate every 12 minutes in the weekday peak and 20 minutes in the midday and early evening.  Between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., every other trip will start and end at NW 57 Avenue instead of NW 87 Avenue. Buses on the new Route 183 Local will run every 20 minutes on Saturdays and every 24 minutes on Sundays. The service span will be 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. weekdays and 5 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on weekends.

    Route segments of the current Route 83 will be replaced with realignments of other routes.  The segment between Miami Lakes Drive/NW 60 Avenue and Miami Gardens Drive will be replaced with the extension of Route 73. Passengers can transfer between Routes 73 and 183 at NW 68 Avenue/Miami Gardens Drive.  The route segments of the current Route 83 on NW 177 Street between NW 2 and 7 avenues and on NW 191 Street between Miami Avenue and NE 2 Avenue will be served by the revised Route 75.

    With the merger of Routes 83 and 183 into a single route, passengers traveling from Miami Gardens Drive to NE 6 Avenue, 163 Street Mall, or FIU Biscayne Bay campus will need to take Route 75. The trip to the mall and FIU will not require a transfer from Miami Gardens Drive between NW 14 Avenue and Ne 6 Avenue. Other current Route 83 riders will need to transfer to/from Route 75 at Miami Gardens Drive and NE 2 or 6 Avenue.  Passengers traveling to 163 Street Mall can also transfer to Route 9 at NE 10 Avenue, Route 10 at NE 15 Avenue, or Route H at NE 19 Avenue.

    Route 87

    The weekday midday service frequency will change from every 40 to every 45 minutes. The evening frequency will be adjusted to every 60 minutes. Schedule adjustments will be made in the afternoon peak period.  The 4:39 a.m. and 7:56 p.m. northbound trips from Dadeland North will be discontinued.

    On Saturdays, buses will run every 45 minutes instead of every 40 minutes. On Sundays, buses will continue running every 60 minutes.

    Route 88

    Several schedule modifications will be made on weekdays. Weekday eastbound service on the SW 141 Avenue/84 Street leg will be discontinued after 7:00 p.m. and westbound service to this leg also will end at 7:15 p.m. leaving Dadeland North. Weekend service on the SW 141 Avenue leg will run one hour later. Route 88 service to SW 157 Avenue will continue throughout the evening every 30 minutes before 9 p.m. and every 60 minutes until 12:50 a.m.

    The following weekday trips will be discontinued:

    • 5:28 a.m. eastbound trip from SW 141 Av.
    • 5:58 a.m. westbound trip from Dadeland North

    On Saturdays buses will run every 24 minutes instead of every 20 minutes. The 5:55 a.m. Saturday eastbound trip and the 5:58 am Sunday eastbound trip from SW 141 Avenue will be discontinued.

    Route 91

    Route 91 will be merged into Route 99. The new Route 99 will run from Aventura Mall to NW 68 Avenue and Miami Gardens Drive, with every other trip short-turning at NW 47 Avenue. 

    The Route 91 segment from Ives Dairy Road to 163 Street Mall via NE 19 and 22 avenues will be discontinued.  Alternative service is available on NE 19 Avenue south of Miami Gardens Drive with Route H.  Route 59, a new peak period feeder service to Golden Glades, will have three southbound morning trips and four northbound afternoon trips on NE 22 Avenue.  An alternative near this segment is the new Route 99 on Ives Dairy Road and Route 183 on Miami Gardens Drive.  The current Route 91 segment on NE 2 Avenue between NE 199 and 204 streets and on NW/NE 207 Street between NW 2 and NE 2 avenues will be discontinued.  Route 99 service will be within walking distance of this area.

    On weekdays, the new Route 99 will run every 30 minutes east of NW 47 Avenue and every 60 minutes west of NW 47 Avenue. On Saturdays and Sundays, buses will run every 40 minutes on the full route. Hours of service will be from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.  The special school trip serving Dr. Krop High School in the morning and afternoon will be discontinued. Students can take Route 99 to Ives Dairy Road and NE 16 Avenue.

    Route 93 - Biscayne MAX

    The peak service frequency will be adjusted to every 18 minutes for this limited-stop route, providing faster travel time along Biscayne Blvd. Combined with the Route 3, there will be peak service every 9 minute between Aventura and downtown Miami. Midday frequencies on Route 93 (Biscayne MAX) will continue to be every 30 minutes.

    Route 95 Express

    This express route will be modified as part of the federal-state-local project to improve travel times and reduce congestion on I-95 with the new express lanes. The southbound express lanes will open in January 2010 and the new Golden Glades East Lot will open December 13. Route 95 Express will be modified to take advantage of the new facilities.

    All Route 95 service will begin or end at Golden Glades. The current Route 95 feeder segments from Carol City and Aventura will become separate routes: Route 49 from Carol City and Route 59 from Aventura. Both new routes will run to Golden Glades in the morning and from Golden Glades in the afternoon. Passengers will transfer to and from these new routes and Route 95 Express at the Golden Glades west terminal.

    The new Route 59 will have a modified alignment to Golden Glades using NE 22 Avenue, Miami Gardens Drive, and U.S. 441 to and from Golden Glades. Current riders can use Routes 22 or E from the 163 Street Mall area to Golden Glades. The new Route 49 will have the same alignment as currently operated by Route 95.

    Many new Route 95 Express riders are expected when the southbound HOT lanes open in January 2010. The Route 95 Express will make use of the new Golden Glades East park-ride lot by starting all morning trips at the east lot terminal then proceeding to the west lot to pick up passengers. Passengers can park at the east lot in the morning and obtain closer parking to the buses and first choice for seats. In the afternoon, Route 95 will drop off riders at the west lot terminal first then proceed to the east lot. All transfers to other routes on Tri-Rail will be at the west lot terminal.

    Route 97 - 27th Avenue MAX

    This limited stop route frequencies will be changed from every 15 minutes to every 20 minutes in the peak period and from every 30 minutes to every 40 minutes in the midday. The service span will not change.

    After noon, the Route 97 will be realigned to operate the NW 207/211 Street loop as a figure 8 to save time. Route 97 stops will be on the opposite side of the street east of NW 32 Avenue. Morning trips will continue to serve the NW 207/211 Street loop.

    Route 99

    Route 91 will be merged into Route 99.  Route 91 will be discontinued. The new Route 99 will run along the current Route 99 alignment from Aventura Mall to NW 47 Avenue and 199 Street.  Every other trip on weekdays will be extended to NW 68 Avenue and Miami Gardens Drive. On weekends, all trips will travel to NW 68 Avenue and Miami Gardens Drive.

    On weekdays, the new Route 99 will run every 30 minutes east of NW 48 Avenue and every 60 minutes west of NW 47 Avenue. On Saturdays and Sundays, buses will run every 60 minutes on the full route. Service hours will be from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The special school trip serving Dr. Krop High School in the morning and afternoon will be discontinued.  Students can use Route 99 within walking distance of the school.

    Route 120 - Beach MAX

    Route 120 (Beach MAX) will be enhanced with major restructuring and more frequent service. This limited-stop route will be extended to Aventura Mall and to South Miami Beach providing faster service along Collins Avenue to South Beach and downtown Miami. Significant improvements will be made to the service frequencies, seven days a week.

    Route 120 (Beach MAX) will be extended from Haulover Park to Aventura Mall via Collins and the flyover to Lehman Causeway.  Alternate trips of the Route 120 will start and end at Haulover Park.  Beach MAX bus stops will be spaced about every half-mile to one mile at major activity centers or transfer points.

    Route 120 (Beach MAX) will operate with limited stops along the Collins Avenue corridor to Lincoln Road, then travel on Washington Avenue, 5 Street and MacArthur Causeway to downtown Miami. The route will no longer run on 41 Street and the Julia Tuttle Causeway.  Riders can transfer to Route C or J to travel along 41 Street or Route J to cross the Julia Tuttle Causeway. Operating the Route 120 on Washington Avenue will help relieve overcrowding on the Route C.

    Service frequencies will improve to every 12 minutes on weekdays between downtown Miami and Haulover and every 24 minutes from Haulover to Aventura Mall.  Saturday service will be every 15 minutes, with a 30-minute frequency to Aventura. The Sunday frequency will be every 30 minutes, with all trips to Aventura Mall. Service hours will be approximately 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on weekends.

    Route 136

    This route will be merged with the Route 65 to create a modified Route 136. This new route will serve the ridership of the current Routes 65 and 136 more efficiently.

    The revised Route 136 will operate four eastbound trips to the Dadeland South Station in the morning.  Four westbound trips in the morning will operate to SW 147 Avenue but will require a transfer from Busway routes to connect at SW 136 Street and the Busway. In the afternoon, Route 136 will have five westbound trips from Dadeland South to SW 147 Avenue along the current Route 136 alignment. Those riders traveling westbound from SW 147 Avenue will need to transfer to Busway routes to travel to Dadeland South.

    The modified Route 136 will operate every 45 to 50 minutes during weekday rush hours only.

    Route 137

    This route will be realigned to operate on Flagler Street between SW 112 and 107 avenues and on NW 107 Avenue north of Flagler Street. This will provide a direct connection along Flagler Street in Sweetwater to grocery stores at 107 Avenue.

    After 5:30 p.m. on weekends, the service frequency after 5:30 p.m. will be every 60 minutes.  In addition, the following weekend trips will be discontinued:

    Route 183 MAX

    The existing Route 183 MAX will be combined with the Route 83, resulting in a new route called Route 183 Local operating from NW 87 Avenue/Miami Gardens Drive to Aventura Mall along the same alignment of the current Route 183 MAX.  However, the revised Route 183 Local will make all stops along the route. 

    The new Route 183 Local will operate every 12 minutes in the weekday peak period and every 20 minutes in the midday and early evening. Between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., every other trip will start and end at NW 57 Avenue instead of NW 87 Avenue. After 8 p.m., all trips will end at NW 57 Avenue. The Saturday frequencies for the new Route 183 will be every 20 minutes and the Sunday frequencies will be every 24 minutes with alternate trips ending at 57 Avenue. Service hours will be 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. weekdays and 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends.

    Route 202 - Little Haiti Connection

    Route 202 will be realigned to operate between NW 85 Street and 5 Avenue in the Larchmont Gardens neighborhood to Miami Avenue and 36 Street.     Route 224

    Route 224 (Coral Way MAX) will be merged with the Route 24.  Five trips per peak of Route 24 will be extended to SW 152 Avenue and Coral Way. Eastbound service from SW 152 Avenue/147 Avenue will be from 5:34 to 7:33 a.m.  For safety reasons, the operator's break will be at SW 147 Avenue after serving the eastbound bus stops between 152 and 147 avenues. Westbound service to SW 147 Avenue/152 Avenue will arrive from 4:47 to 7:05 p.m. 

    The Route 24 will continue to serve the Vizcaya Station and downtown Miami. The revised Route 24 service will not travel to the Douglas Road Station.

    Route 240 - Bird Road MAX

    This MAX route will be combined with the Route 40 into a single route. The revised Route 40 will be extended to SW 152 Avenue and will follow mostly the Route 240 alignment to SW 137 Avenue/Bird Road.  From SW 137 Avenue to the Douglas Road Station, the Route 40 will run on its current alignment. Those Route 240 riders wishing to travel to the Dadeland area can transfer to Metrorail at the Douglas Road Station.

    The peak period service frequency for Route 40 will be enhanced to every 15 minutes. Both west end branches (SW 8 Street/132 Avenue and SW 152 Avenue) will run every 30 minutes during the weekday rush hours. Service levels will remain the same during off-peak and weekend hours.

    Route 267 - Ludlam MAX

    The Route 267 will be merged into the Route 73. The revised Route 73 will be extended from NW 60 Avenue and Miami Lakes Drive to Miami Gardens Drive and NW 68 Avenue via NW 67 Avenue.  Route 267 passengers can use Route 73 to travel to and from the Okeechobee Metrorail Station.  Route 73 will be fairly direct to Metrorail as it will no longer serve the Miami Lakes Technical Education Center but will continue to serve Miami Lakes Industrial Park.

    Route 73 will provide all-day service to Miami Gardens Drive. Buses will run every 30 minutes during weekday rush hours and every 40 minutes in the midday. The first southbound trip from Miami Gardens Drive will depart at 4:52 a.m.

    Route 282 - Hialeah Gardens Connection

    The Route 282 will be merged with the Route 54.  A revised Route 54 will operate from Biscayne Blvd/NE 54 Street to Miami Gardens Drive/NW 87 Avenue. On weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. only, alternate trips of Route 54 will be extended along the current Route 282 alignment from W 60 Street (NW 114 Street) to Miami Gardens Drive.

    Current Route 282 riders traveling to Metrorail will use the extended Route 54 which serves the Hialeah Metrorail Station. The current service frequency of Route 54 will stay the same between W 60 Street/28 Avenue (NW 114 Street/87 Avenue) in Hialeah and Biscayne Blvd. The extended segment replacing Route 282 will run every 45 to 50 minutes during rush hours and every 60 minutes in the midday. The Route 54 will not operate north of NW 114 Street on weekends.

    The segment of Route 282 south of W 60 Street (NW 114 Street) to Okeechobee Road will have alternate service with the Hialeah Transit System Marlin route. The Palmetto Metrorail Station is available for those riders who used the Route 282 on NW 79 Avenue in Medley.

    Route 287 - Saga Bay MAX

    Route 500 - Midnight Owl

    The 1:02 a.m. northbound trip from the Dadeland North Station which operates on Friday and Saturday only will be discontinued due to ridership decline. Northbound service will depart Dadeland South at 32 minutes after the hours from 12:32 a.m. to 4:32 a.m.

    Route A

    The following weekday trips will be discontinued:

    • 6:04 a.m. eastbound trip from the Omni Terminal
    • 5:50 a.m. westbound trip from Lincoln Road
    • 6:30 a.m. westbound trip from Lincoln Road

    The first westbound trip in the morning from Lincoln Road will be at 6:10 a.m.

    Route E

    Route E will be restructured to operate from the Golden Glades Park-Ride Lot to the Hallandale Beach Wal-Mart at Three Islands Blvd. The current segment of Route E from NW 7 Avenue/135 Street to Miami Lakes will be combined with Route 28 to create the new Route 135. The new Route 135 will run from the FIU Biscayne Bay campus via NW 135 Street/Opa-locka Blvd to two destinations on the west end: Miami Lakes and the Hialeah Metrorail Station.

    The segment of Route E serving NW 22 Avenue, NW 151 Street, and Ahmad in Opa-locka will be discontinued. Alternative service is nearby with Routes 17, 22, and G on NW 22 Av., Routes 27 and 97 MAX on NW 27 Avenue and Route 32 on NW 32 Avenue and Perviz Avenue. The new Route 135 will travel along NW 135 Street and Opa-locka Blvd and serve the Opa-locka Tri-Rail Station via Sinbad, Sharazad and Sesame streets. 

    The segment of the current Route E on NW 7 Avenue will be discontinued. Routes 77 and 277 MAX provide alternative service on NW 7 Avenue.

    Route E will be extended on eastbound trips to serve Country Club Drive and Turnberry prior to Aventura Mall and north to Hallandale Beach via U.S. 1 and Hallandale Beach Blvd, replacing Route 3.  Westbound trips from Hallandale Beach to Aventura will serve Aventura Mall then proceed to Country Club Blvd.

    The peak service frequency will be every 30 minutes, and the midday frequencies will be enhanced to every 45 minutes. The weekend service frequencies will continue to be every 60 minutes.  Service hours will be expanded on weekdays, with the last westbound trip leaving Aventura Mall at 9:16 p.m. and the last trip from Hallandale Beach at 10:03 p.m. ending at Aventura.  The last westbound trip on weekends will be 8:40 p.m. from Aventura Mall and 9:40 p.m. from Hallandale Beach.

    Route G

    The Route G will be restructured to operate from Bunche Park to Harding and 94 Street in Surfside.  The segment of Route G between 94 Street and Lincoln Road will be discontinued. Alternative service is available in the Collins Avenue corridor.  Route G passengers can transfer at Harding and 94 Street to Routes S or Beach MAX or from these routes to westbound Route G at Collins and 94 Street.

    On the west end, the Route G will be extended to the North Dade Health Center located at NW 25 Avenue and 165 Street from 7:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. weekdays during Health Center hours. At all other times, Route G will end at NW 160 Street and 27 Avenue.

    Route G will have 30-minute frequencies on weekdays except for 20 minutes for trips departing from Bunche Park between 6:47 and 7:47 a.m. and leaving Harding and 94 Street from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The weekend frequencies will be every 35 minutes.

    Route H

    This route will be modified to operate from the Skylake area to Harding and 72 Street in Miami Beach. The segment of Route H from 72 Street to Alton Road/2 Street will be discontinued.  Alternative service is available on Miami Beach with Routes L, S, and the 120-Beach MAX.  Riders can transfer to these routes except Route L at Harding/72 Street to continue south on Miami Beach.  Riders can transfer to Route H from Routes L, S, and Beach MAX at Collins and 72 Street.  Traveling south of 5 Street will require a transfer to the South Beach Local on Route M.

    Route H also will be realigned in the North Miami Beach area.  Route H will travel on NE 19 Avenue in both directions from Miami Gardens Drive to 163 Street.  The Route H will not serve NE 171 Street or NE 15 Avenue north of 167 Street.  Route 3 is available on those roadways.  Southbound Route H service will be restored to loop around the 163 Street Mall, the same as northbound, via NE 12 Avenue.

    The Route H frequency will be changed from every 20 minutes to every 24 minutes on weekdays. The weekend frequency of 30 minutes will stay the same. Service hours will be approximately the same except for slightly later service at night.

    Route J

    Route J will be restructured to operate from 41 Street and Collins/Indian Creek via 41 Street on Miami Beach and NE/NW 36 Street in Miami to the Miami International Airport Terminal and MIA Tri-Rail Station.  Alternative service is available along Collins/Indian Creek with Routes L, S, and Beach MAX.  Alternative service from the Airport to the Douglas Road Station is available with the enhanced Route 42.  Passengers can transfer between the J and 42 at the MIA Terminal bus stop.

    A new route called the Airport-Beach Express will be implemented to provide a much faster transit trip from the MIA Terminal to Miami Beach. This route will run every 30 minutes from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., seven days a week.

    The revised Route J will operate on a frequency of every 20 minutes in the peak period and every 30 minutes in the midday on weekdays. Saturday and Sunday service will remain every 30 minutes. Service hours will remain the same.

    Route K

    The Route K will be merged into several other routes on Miami Beach. The Route K designation will be discontinued. Alternative service will be available along all roadways served by Route K.

    The segment of Route K from the Omni Terminal to Lincoln and Washington has Route C and the revised Beach MAX as alternatives. Between Lincoln and Washington to Collins or Harding/88 Street, the new Route 115 (Mid-North Beach Connection) will provide service to this Route K segment.  Collins and Harding between 88 and 193 streets will have Routes S and Beach MAX available. 

    On the north portion of the route, the segment of Route K on Bay Road between 174 and 178 streets is served by Route E.  From Collins and 193 Street to Hallandale Beach, current Route K riders can transfer to Broward County Transit Route 28 at Aventura Mall or Collins and 193 Street.

    Route M

    Route M service to South Miami Beach between 5 Street and South Pointe Drive will be restored.  This route change will restore the direct connection from Rebecca Towers to Mt. Sinai Hospital and the Civic Center/Hospital District.

    The segment of Route M between NW 19 Avenue and NW 22 Court will be discontinued. Alternative service is available with Route 32 on NW 20 Street and Route 22 on NW 22 Avenue.

    Service hours and frequencies will stay nearly the same with peak service every 45 minutes and off-peak service hourly.

    Route R

    Route R will be merged with the Route K resulting in a new route named the Route 115 (Mid/North Beach Connection). The Route 115 will operate between Collins and Harding/88 Street and 17 Street on Miami Beach. The route will run as a two-way loop along Alton Road and Sheridan/Pinetree from 17 Street to 63 Street.  Both loops will have the same alignment between 63 and 88 streets.

    The Route 115 operates essentially on the same alignment as both Routes K and R between 88 and 17 streets.  Advantages include direct connection from Sheridan/Pinetree/LaGorce to Alton Road and Mt. Sinai Hospital.  Residents of Stella Maris at Harding and 87 Street will continue to have direct access to and from Mt. Sinai. Route R riders will gain weekend service with the new Route 115, which is currently not provided on Route R.

    Route S

    The Sunday service frequency will be enhanced from every 20 minutes to 15 every minutes. Weekday and Saturday service will remain the same.

    The Beach MAX will be realigned and extended to Aventura Mall providing Route S riders a faster alternative from Aventura Mall and North Beach to South Miami Beach.

    Dade-Monroe Express

    Several changes will be made to the schedule of the Dade-Monroe Express which operates from Florida City to the Florida Keys via U.S. 1.

    The following trips will be discontinued:

    • 5:30 a.m. southbound trip from Florida City to Islamorada. The 5:35 a.m. trip will run to Islamorada and Marathon.
    • 7:10 a.m. northbound trip from Islamorada. Northbound service available from Islamorada at 6:55 a.m.
    • 1:05 p.m. trip from Florida City to Islamorada. The 1:00 p.m. trip is the alternative.
    • 3:30 p.m. trip from Islamorada to Florida City. Alternative northbound trip from Islamorada available at 3:50 p.m.
    • 10:00 p.m. southbound trip to Tavernier. The last trip from Florida City will be at 9:00 p.m.
    • 11:15 p.m. northbound trip from Tavernier. Alternative service available at 10:25 p.m. and 12:10 a.m.

    Northeast Lifeline

    This route will be discontinued.  Alternative MDT bus service is available at the Skylake Mall, California Club Mall, and the Publix at U.S. 441 and NW 199 Street.

    Lifelines

    The Lifeline routes will be combined into two separate routes with each operating once a week. The North Dade Lifeline will serve Sierra Lakes, Robert Sharpe Towers, and AHEPA in North Miami. The South Dade Lifeline will serve Green Hills, Kings Creek and Federation Gardens.

    Route 19 (NEW)

    The new Route 19 will be created from the splitting of the current Route 75 into two routes. The new Route 19 will follow the route of the current Route 75 from the 163 Street Mall to Miami-Dade College North.  The schedules of the new Routes 19 and 75 will be coordinated for easy transfers between the two routes at the 163 Street Mall. 

    Service frequencies will be every 30 minutes on weekdays for both the new routes. Route 19 will not operate on weekends. The first southbound trip of Route 19 from 163 Street Mall will leave at 6:05 a.m. instead of 5:22 a.m.

    Route 49 (NEW)

    The current Route 95 Express feeder segment from Carol City to Golden Glades will become a separate route called Route 49.  This local route will operate along the same alignment as the Carol City leg of Route 95 Express between Carol City and Golden Glades.  Passengers can transfer between the new Route 49 and the Route 95 Express at Golden Glades.

    Route 59 (NEW)

    The current Route 95 Express feeder segment from Aventura to Golden Glades will become a separate route called Route 59.  The new Route 59 will have a modified alignment to Golden Glades using NE 22 Avenue, Miami Gardens Drive and U.S. 441 to and from Golden Glades. Current riders can use Routes 22 or E from the 163 Street Mall area to Golden Glades.   Passengers can transfer between the new Route 59 and the Route 95 Express at Golden Glades.

    Route 115 - Mid/North Beach Connection (NEW)

    This new route will replace Routes K and R in the middle of Miami Beach. The Route 115 will operate between Collins and Harding/88 Street and 17 Street on Miami Beach. The route will run as a two-way loop along Alton Road and Sheridan/Pinetree from 17 Street to 63 Street.  Both loops will have the same alignment between 63 and 88 streets.

    The Route 115 provides essentially the same alignment as both the Route K and R provide between 88 and 17 streets.  Advantages include direct connection from Sheridan/Pinetree/LaGorce to Alton Road and Mt. Sinai Hospital. Residents of Stella Maris at Harding and 87 Street will continue to have direct access to and from Mt. Sinai.

    Route 115 buses will run every 20 minutes on weekdays before 6:30 p.m. between 88 and 63 streets.  Each trip will alternate clockwise or counter-clockwise around the loop between 63 and 17 streets, resulting in a 40-minute service frequency in each direction south of 63 Street.  On evenings and weekends, the Route 115 will have 30-minute service frequency north of 63 Street, with 60-minute service frequencies around the loop south of 63 Street.

    Route 135 (NEW)

    Route 135 will be created by merging Route 28 with a segment of the Route E.  The Route 135 will run along NW 135 Street/Opa-locka Blvd between the FIU Biscayne Bay campus with one leg to Hialeah and the other leg to Miami Lakes.  This new route will serve the Opa-locka Tri-Rail Station via Sinbad, Sharazad, and Sesame. The weekday frequencies will be every 30 minutes, with service every 20 minutes westbound from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. and from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.  Both the Hialeah and Miami Lakes legs will run hourly on weekdays from approximately 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.

    Weekend Route 135 service will be hourly from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Service on weekends will be between FIU and the Hialeah Station leg only, as with current service.

    Route 150 - Airport-Beach Express (NEW)

    A new express route will start service from the Miami International Airport Terminal to South Miami Beach via 41 Street and Collins Avenue with a stop at the Earlington Heights Station.  This new route is being funded by a grant from the Federal Transit Administration.  The Route 150 Express will make limited stops in Miami Beach at the following locations:  41 Street/Alton Road, 41 Street/ Sheridan, all stops on Collins and Indian Creek between 41 and 17 streets, Collins/17 Street, Collins/16 Street, Washington/Lincoln, 17 Street/Convention Center Drive, and 19 Street/Meridian.

    The Route 150 will operate every 30 minutes from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., seven days a week.

    New I-95 Dade-Broward Express (NEW)

    A new express route will start on January 2010 funded by the Federal Transit Administration and the Florida Department of Transportation.  This new high-speed service will operate in the I-95 HOT lanes between downtown Miami and Sheridan Street and Broward Blvd in Broward County.  This service will be every 15 minutes during the weekday peak hours only.
