Group Tours
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is the perfect destination for groups seeking something different in South Florida. General tours of the Main House and gardens are available by appointment any day of the week. Group tours are conducted by professionally trained Volunteer Guides. Discounts are offered to pre-reserved groups of twenty (20) or more. Tours last approximately forty-five (45) minutes. Because Vizcaya Museum and Gardens features 34 public rooms over several floors, each tour may not include all areas of the Main House. However, to include visiting the Main House and gardens more extensively on your own, plan to spend at least two hours.
Effective January 1, 2011, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is open daily except Tuesdays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
For reservations or information on group tours, please contact the Group Tour Coordinator at group.tours@vizcayamuseum.org call 305-860-8421.

Scheduling
Though the estate and Main House are quite large, individual rooms within the main house are small. For this reason, the number of adults or students in a visiting tour is limited to one hundred (100) and the number of visitors on a reserved tour of the Main House, at one time, is limited to fifty (50) people.
-
To accommodate groups of fifty (50) or more the group is asked to divide into sections that can alternately tour the Main House, visit the gardens, and have lunch over a period of at least two hours.
-
Prompt arrival is important, since tours are led by Volunteer Guides. Groups arriving later than fifteen (15) minutes of their scheduled time may forfeit their reserved tour.

Dining
The Vizcaya Café offers a variety of tempting snack or luncheon options. Groups of all sizes can enjoy a customized menu or a prepared box lunch in the café by making arrangements in advance. If you’re on the go, grab a cold prepared meal and drink from our snack counter. Call for menus, pricing and to reserve a place in the café at 305-856-8189 or e-mail Paula Gooden at paulag@ajoywallace.com. All groups of ten (10) or more wishing to eat at the Vizcaya Café need to make advance reservations. Admission toVizcaya Museum and Gardens must be purchased to enter the Café.
We regret that general visitors and adults on group tours may not bring food to eat at Vizcaya. All food must be purchased at the Vizcaya Café.
K-12 and college groups may, however, eat in the shaded group picnic area. The outdoor space includes a grassy area and tables which seat approximately eighty (80) people. K-12 and college groups bringing a picnic lunch must package lunches together and label them with their group name. Lunches may be stored inside the Main House until the group is ready for lunch. Volunteer Guides can help direct groups to this area upon arrival at the front entrance.
No eating or drinking is permitted in the Main House, gardens, or David A. Klein Orchidarium.
